Xinhua News Agency, Islamabad, April 27 (Reporter Yang Kai) - The Pakistan Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued a statement on the 27th, denying reports from Afghan media about Pakistan conducting airstrikes on a university and residential area in Kunar Province, eastern Afghanistan.

The statement described the reports as "lies" aimed at garnering sympathy and covering up the Afghan government's support for the "Pakistani Taliban."

The statement said, "Pakistan's strikes are precise and based on intelligence."

In another statement, the Pakistan Ministry of Information and Broadcasting accused Afghan media and officials of "continuously propagating false attacks occurring in Kunar Province."

As of the time of publication, there has been no response from the Afghan side regarding this matter.

Earlier, Afghan government deputy spokesman Hamdullah Mohib stated that Pakistan had shelled the residential area and a university in the capital of Kunar Province, Asadabad, with mortars and rockets, resulting in 4 deaths and 70 injuries, including students, women, and children.
