From July 31 to August 1, the "Kunpeng" will once again take flight to welcome the fresh blood of the People's Air Force. At six boarding points in Shenyang, Shijiazhuang, Jinan, Nanjing, Changsha, and Chengdu, the Air Force will deploy multiple Y-20 aircraft for the fifth consecutive year to transport the newly admitted flight cadets of 2026 to the Air Force Aviation University for registration. Simple yet warm farewell and welcome ceremonies will be held simultaneously at each boarding point and the aviation university. These young faces will embark on a journey to pursue their dreams in aerospace with lofty aspirations, welcoming the centenary of the founding of the military with a fresh outlook.

This year, the Y-20B aircraft, equipped with domestically produced engines, will participate in this mission for the first time, becoming a vivid representation of the parallel development of Air Force equipment and flight talent cultivation. The Kunpeng supports youth, and the warbirds witness the launch; this is not only an honor ceremony unique to the flight cadets but also an immersive classroom integrated into the Air Force. The Air Force has also invited over a hundred parent representatives of the cadets to fly together. After landing, the parents will enter the aviation university to closely experience the learning, training, and life of the flight cadets, witnessing firsthand the new face of Air Force talent cultivation.
