Xinhua News Agency, Vladivostok, April 21 (Reporter Sun Ping) According to a report by RIA Novosti on the 21st, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Gerasimov, stated during a speech at the command post of the Southern Group of Forces that the Luhansk region has been fully controlled.

Gerasimov mentioned that the Russian military is currently advancing in all directions. In February and March, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to halt the Russian offensive but suffered the loss of 3,000 soldiers and over 160 pieces of equipment.

There has been no response from the Ukrainian side at this time.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on April 1 that it had fully controlled the Luhansk region, but this was subsequently denied by the Ukrainian side.
